Makos can reach 25 miles per/hr making them fastest of all sharks and speed is what this piece is about. The graceful slender body, the raked fin and tail, all accentuate that swiftness. The transparent hues on this fish allows the long grain of the wood to show through strengthening that impression of speed. The fins are aluminum with a brush finish that grabs the light.

Each Mako has the same body but not the same delineation of color and is totally unique. The body is soft maple, a sustainable hardwood harvested in the USA. The transparent colors are blended in a resin that is VOC free. All the necessary hardware to hang this piece is included.
